Aaron Draplin’s legendary design career is a masterclass in bold simplicity, fusing rugged Americana with striking, minimalist aesthetics. Known for iconic logos and brand identities, including work for Burton, NASA and Field Notes, Draplin’s distinctive style champions function over flair.
His designs have shaped modern visual culture with timeless impact, and for Aaron, it all really got fired up with his love for snowboarding. And at the time, his father would always rave about his Obermeyer jacket. Obermeyer’s new Off Grid Collection sports a new look that comes straight from Draplin’s design studio. Throughout the process, sketches morphed into concepts before becoming logos.
